Every event we design is completely customized, including a curated color palette, hand picked vessels and candles, and thoughtfully arranged rare varieties. We take on a limited number of events each season to ensure the utmost care and attention can be devoted to each design, from planning to installation. Full service designs start at $6,000.
We create spaces with florals that enhance the event space, create impactful experiences, and envelope you in mementos of the season.
Our first step is to gather details and begin envisioning the elements.
I love to see what is inspiring you, so please send over a pinterest board or collection of images that move you. Art works, interiors, landscapes, and music are some of my favorite ways to get on your level. Images of flowers are great too, but not necessary.

It all truly begins with the season. Then the venue layers the elements, and guides the palette. From there, the flowers reveal themselves, and we utilize a depth of knowledge gained from years of cultivating plants to design with a sense of place, composition, and companionship, resulting in thoughtful, organic, and intentional designs.
We’ll produce a curated board of ideas to translate the inspiration into florals that make an impact on your event. We are excited to work alongside your planner to deliver a seamless experience, feel free to have them connect with us so we can collaborate.
Once we’ve shared our initial suggestions we will schedule a call to refine the design, and prepare a contract. A signed agreement and 50% retainer secures your date with our studio.

My dream as a child to own a farm was born from reading books. I began my journey by working the seasons during high school at a large herb and perennial farm. Never thinking my dream would ever really come true, I went on to specialize in real estate and the restoration of historic homes and buildings. Recently, when a beautiful historic farm named Millwood in Aylett, Virginia was about to be razed and overbuilt with houses, I purchased it in the hopes of finally living my dream and saving the historic farm for future generations to enjoy. All of the sudden owning a farm, and my experience restoring historic buildings collided. Then I met Ash…
Ash and I met at the VABF conference and I was totally in awe of her knowledge. As our friendship evolved, I asked her opinion on my idea to combine what I was hoping to be an historic event venue and cut-flower farm that would provide all the florals and design. She thought it was a great idea after her visit to Millwood, and she could see the vision I had for the space and agreed. Ash suggested I volunteer at Hazel Witch to learn all I could about cut flower farming. She also said I needed to start working on the soil at Millwood right away. I was so excited to volunteer at her farm and learn everything from such an expert, but I worried about the time it would take to improve the soil at Millwood. Little did I know, Ash was considering selling Hazel Witch Farm...
Making the soil just right for flower farming is an art and takes a lot of work and time. I needed to move fast to save Millwood, but the soil wasn’t ready. When Ash said she was selling Hazel Witch, we both thought it was fate that brought us together at just the right moment. Ash’s vision to provide more perennial flowers and keep the ephemeral design ethos intact was totally aligned with my vision as well. Somehow everything came together, and now, here we are..
For 2025, not only will we be providing you with the beautiful ephemeral pallate of flowers Hazel Witch Farm is known for through the River City Flower Exchange and for your weddings and events, we will also be offering florals and design packages for weddings at Historic Millwood Farm! Millwood is providing a limited number of outdoor wedding packages that will include a 30’x80’ tent, restrooms, a bridal cottage, AND a floral and design package from Hazel Witch Farm and Floral Design!
